ACA Marketplace coverage offers comprehensive coverage versus a Short Term plan which only offers limited coverage for a short time period. ACA coverage is "Guaranteed Acceptance" which means you cannot be turned down due to a pre-existing condition during open enrollment each year from November 1st until December 15th. Short Term plans will not cover pre-existing conditions or medications you are currently taking.
